Bevel turns your smartphone into a 3D Camera
Fed up with your smartphone pics looking a bit flat? Well the Bevel 3D camera could be the answer! Designed by Matter And Form Inc. The Bevel attaches to your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet via the headphone jack and works just like a regular camera, but for the addition of a Sci-Fi laser scanning beam. The Bevel creates real 3D photographs unlike some other similar attachments which give the illusion of 3D by enhancing the depth of the image. The “Genuine 3D” images can even be 3D printed and like normal photos can be shared via your social network of choice.
The Bevel is still in pre-production at this stage and has been posted on Kickstarter aiming to raise the $200,000 needed to get it made. The good news is that at the time of writing they have already reached this figure. The bad news is we’re a little late to the party on this one and the campaign has only three days left! So if you want one head over to Kickstarter ASAP.
