Facebook launch Open Graph Timeline apps- More than just “like”

Facebook have opened their Open Graph platform to 60 new partners, allowing apps from the likes of Ticketmaster and Runkeeper to feed updates into users timelines.

Facebook is now open to all app submissions so we can expect developers to embrace this new functionality with a host of new apps or updates to existing ones to take advantage of the Open Graph system.

In addition to the bog-standard Like, share or comment, actions will be app-specific, following the “user-action-object” format.  For instance  Boris (user) ran (action) 4.5km (object).

Some of the apps are already available to add to your Timeline now.
