Internet Explorer 9 Reaches Final Pre-Beta Build

Microsoft have released the final preview version of their latest Internet Explorer browser before the start of it’s beta testing phase.

“The IE9 platform is nearly complete” according to a post on the official blog by IE9’s general manager Dean Hachamovitch.

In the latest preview version of the software, the catchily titled IE9 Platform Preview 4, Microsoft have integrated their new JavaScript engine and new hardware acceleration feature as well as performance improvements in several other areas.

You can download Platform Preview 4 (16MB download) from the Microsoft web site if you’d like to take a look. The full beta version of IE9 should be available around September 15.
