iPhone 5 To Get A Larger 4-Inch Screen?
Rumours have started to circulate that 4-inch screens made by Apple screen suppliers Sony and Hitachi have gone into production.
An “Asian source” has revealed that as well as the 4-inch screens, new displays for the iPad 3 have started to ship. No details have been made available regarding the resolutions of these panels though so we’ll have to wait and see if they turn out to be retina screens or not.
This isn’t the first time that an increase in screen size has been hinted at for the iPhone, with many expecting the last iPhone refresh to be more major, including a larger screen rather than the slightly reworked iPhone 4S. With Apple competitors packing larger displays into their handsets, it’s looking increasingly likely that Apple will follow suit in the next incarnation of the iPhone.
Do you think that the iPhone could do with a larger screen to keep up with it’s rivals, or are you happy with it as-is? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
