Skyrim Takes Christmas No 1. Slot
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has remained at the top of the sales chart for a second week, which means it has now broken an eight year winning run for EA or Activision by taking the coveted Christmas number one sales position.
The last non-EA/Activision game to take the Christmas top spot was Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City back in 2002.
Predictably though, EA and Activision feature prominently in the rest of the top ten. Check out who’s where in the full top ten listing below (ideally read aloud in your best Jimmy Saville voice):
1: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Bethesda)
2: Just Dance 3 (Ubisoft)
3: Modern Warfare 3 (Activision)
4: FIFA 12 (EA)
5: Saints Row: The Third (THQ)
6: Battlefield 3 (EA)
7: Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (Ubisoft)
8: Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London Olympics (SEGA)
9: Need for Speed: The Run (EA)
10: Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call (Level-5)
